M13 - Globular cluster in Hercules
Object # 5 Object Name:M13
Other Names:NGC 6205, Hercules Cluster
RA:16:41:41.50 Dec:36:27:39.00
Constellation:Hercules Season:Summer
Magnitude:5.8 Type:Globular Cluster
Description:
M13 is a very nice globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules. Not visible from the city to the unaided eye, it is easily visible in binoculars and downright spectacular in a telescope. It can be tricky to find as Hercules is a rather dim constellation, but if you can locate Eta Herculis with binoculars or a telescope, head south - the cluster is about a third of the way to Zeta Herculis.
