I started this blog on the 18th of December 2004 (at 10:56 pm MST apparently). Since that time I've made 500 posts, including this one. At about six per month, not a blistering rate of posting, but this is a hobby for me after all and I don't always have the time or the gumption I'd like to have to put into posts here. Some posts I'm particularly proud of, some aren't the best but they can't all be gems. One set of posts has even spawned a different website. Looking at the hit stats, there's been 991698 hits to this site since then, no doubt much of those being search engines and spammers, but it's getting close to the magic 1 000 000 mark so another milestone (one I'm more likely to miss since I don't check the stat page that often). I would say that on average between 30 and 70 actual people read a post at this site, depending on the topic of the post of course. I have noticed I get few commenters though, partially due to my slow rate of posting, keeping me off the Con-bot radar I'm sure and the low number of non-immediate friend visitors. That being said obscurity isn't necessarily a bad thing, less people to be disappointed at the dull posts :)
Anyhow after nearly six years I'm still here and still posting so here's to another 500 posts and another six years!
