It depends on whether Chandler has managed to seed enough of the "active" membership of the PC association in Egmont with his cronies.

We already know that he's got his backers in (more or less) control of the executive.

I'm of two minds when it comes to Chandler and that nomination. Him winning it would give other parties an unprecedented shot at the seat; but the idea of that loudmouth even having a hope of winning a seat in the legislature horrifies me.
