Harper starts advertising for dictatorship

Jason ramblingNot only has the Harper Conservatives been trying to turn Canada into a right-wing dictatorship but now they are actively campaigning on becoming a dictatorship. The only amusing part of this is the one and only war-room Con-bot in the comments section of the Macleans posting trying to defend the position.

What amazes me is that Harper wants to run on a platform of "vote for me and you'll never have to have elections again". Well, it doesn't amaze me in the sense that it was expected given Harper's actions to date and the comments of his supporters, but it amazes me that he and his supporters are going public with it. Though it is true that Harper's supporters would welcome a Harper dictatorship, it's not that clear that the rest of the voting public would.

H/T to Hill Queeries.

Look at the sign. It's in French, but language is simple. That campaign sign is from the 2009 by-election in Hochelaga riding. Have you ever heard of a PM who used "Action! No Elections!" as a campaign slogan?
