I get a lot of the .ru addresses asking to register, one or two a day. They get
deleted of course.

Since I've started using the IP block list, the amount of comment spam is down. I
don't expect it to be perfect but it cuts down the amount of spam I need to deal
with each week. It's also only one prong of my spam defences in any event.
