It's been my experience that often these kids' parents have some serious issues too and often these parents don't want to look at them. These parents just want to dump their kids off at treatment with a "fix them" attitude. These kids are generally not very successful in comparison to the kids who's parents are more involved and more willing to look at their own stuff.
