I understand. An overhaul of the valves is probably in the neighborhood of $500-$700. I guess whether it's worth it to you depends entirely on what else the car may need in the next couple of years.

(My brother's old Intrepid ate valves like they were candy, and it was $500 each time - most of which is the cost of head removal and replacement.)
