Is the United States turning into 1930's Germany?

It's easier to slip in change piecemeal than in one big swoop. A civil liberty here, a right there, no one will really notice until it's too late and the rights and freedoms are all gone.

It's happening to some extent here in Canada as well which makes me fear the future even more...
