While I agree that one has to take Garth Turner's commentary WRT PMSH, there's a pretty good track record of autocratic behaviour out of Harper that dates back to the last election. Whether it is the Lebanon evacuation where Foreign Affairs decisions had to be routed through the PMO, or Harper's snotty attitude towards the press because they won't promise to write nice little puffy pieces about him.

... and yes, I consider him dangerous.

If he's going to be an authoritarian dictator he's really got to work on the whole look. I mean really, who can get behind that kind of leader WITHOUT touchlight parades and an over-the-top uniform.
