Crumbling Schools It's been a while since I've written, since life has been so busy for me, but now a few moments have happened and I can put finger to keyboard once again. On my way to work today I was listening to the radio (CBC1010) I heard a representative from a company that loans money to schools for maintenance based on savings they'd find in facilities operations.
I'm Being Sued! So if you recall I mentioned that some lawyer claimed I owed him $3000 with respect to the sale of my house. Well, this lawyer has served me with papers for a law suit on Friday (only three days after getting notification of the money in the first place.
Homeward bound! I'm done and on my way... well almost, I'm sitting in my hotel room waiting for the bus to take me to the airport here in the Soo. The competition is over, medals were awarded and much fun was had by all.
Almost done!Well, it's Thursday, the second last day of the competition. Only one day of competition left and then it's home. So far the individual, mass start sprint and relay races have been completed. Just the patrol races tomorrow and then Saturday – it's off home.
Hello from the Soo...Well I finally made it to Sault Ste. Marie. What an adventure that was. It started out going great and then went down hill from there. Now that I'm here though things are going well. The story so far:
Ralph Klein Wants to Know What You Think......as long as it agrees with his point of view. Now I haven't read the Klein plan for health “reform” yet, but I'm not commenting on that specifically so it's not important at the moment. What I am commenting on is the discord between what the premier told the Calgary Herald, specifically that he wants to hear from Albertans what they think of his health care plan, and his actions in the legislature when provided with alternative ideas.
Off I Go...Well I'm off to beautiful Sault Ste. Marie for National Cadet Biathlon where I will be one of the officials. Mrs. Evil will be dropping me off a the airport this morning and I'll be on my way!
Long, long weekend.It's time for an I had toast, it was crunchy post. I, like most others had a long weekend this past weekend. Though really my weekend started two days earlier than other. First, I had teachers' convention on Thursday and Friday. Though technically work, it doesn't really seem like it while you're trolling the trade show and sitting through sessions. Most of the sessions were OK, but a couple were quite good. |
