Blow to antivaxers

The cynic in me says
"Well we need to decrease world population numbers and if the gulible and the religious fanatics die off it might be a better place."

However, the educator in me says
"No! we must educate the unknowning masses so they will understand enough to make the correct decision and not be swayed by pseudo-science."

Saddly there is enough misunderstanding about vaccines that even some very educated people are swayed by the antivax campaigners..... perhaps we do need another epidemic to set everyone's heads straight about what is really important in the world.

All I've ever had to do was ask my folks - as they both lived through some major epidemics - TB, polio, one of the more deadly flu epidemics....
Heck my aunt lost the use of her hand during the polio epidemic. They are of a generation that understood the good that vaccines brought to a community in a very visceral way, it's too bad that we are slowly loosing the knowledge from that generation.
